For art this term we had to pick a world issue and research on it. My world issue is tornadoes. We had to make a poster about it. We had to make 4 pieces of art,to put on it.

What:last week on Friday(1 July) room 10 preformed at Pirongia schools got talent and did a dance off a Just dance.

Why:Room 10 decided to do this because we thought that we could work as a team and do this together.It tuned out to be an amazing successes.

How?:We practiced all term and finally added the finishing touch and the clothes and it was all ready to show the audience of Pirongia School's got Talent.

Science inquiry

This term we have been learning about science-planet Earth and beyond.Have you ever wondered how Mars was made?Well it goes like this.The force of gravity pulled loose bits of things floating around in space.Over the past millions of years it grew bigger and bigger until the gravity stopped pulling and mars never grew bigger again!

I made my model of a card-board box, paint, paper mache, a balloon, newspaper, plain a4 paper, and silver glitter.I enjoyed painting it because we put allot of glitter on it and it went everywhere.I would change that I would be more organised.

I was proud of  doing a 'Just Dance' at our schools Pirongia Schools got talent. I was proud of getting a merit award at assembly. I was proud of completing the mud run. I was proud of doing the 'Tryathilon',and winter sevens.

1.What?

Last week for maths room ten learnt how add 100 and 1000 to a number and subtract 100 and 1000.

2.Why?

I learnt that I need to use this strategy to help me add and subtract from higher numbers that are usually tricky to do.

3.How?

First you get the number say 2,546 now you look at the hundreds space and add 1 and that equals2,646 and thats how you do it.

Why?:We are learning about personification to put a better picture in the readers mind.

How?:You get a non living thing and give it a human thing to describe it.

What-In room 10 we have been learning how to do remainders.

Why-We are doing it to help us with our times tables.

How-So say we have 15 and we are dividing it by 6 then we are going to find out how many 4's go into the number with out going higher than the number and count up the remainders and there is your answer. The answer is 3r3.

This week room 10 has been learning about adding and subtraction to 20,100's,1000's.And rounding.

WHAT
What is adding and subtraction?
Adding and subtraction is like 16+?=20 and 12+?=20 and stuf like that.
All the numbers have different partners  and they never change.The number partners are 1 and 9 2 and 8,3 and 7, 4 and 6 and 5 and 5.Those are all the number partners up to ten.
Why do we do it?
Because room ten need's  to practse a little bit on our basic

My name is Rubi. I have  two cats and five chickens and a dog called Flick.I have a little sister called Molly.My favorite healthy food is healthy sandwich. My favorite  junk food is chocolate.I have a lot of cousins and most of them are older than me. I am 2 years older than my sister but we have the same birthday.I think its easy for my mum because she only needs to set up everything on one day.I am almost 10 yay! I can not wait.I think it is going to be a bit different because I will be a bit older. By Rubi.

Snap!The loud clappers made me so nerves I nearly fell in the water before it was time.I would of been out of the race.

Mrs Hobbes calls on the mic ''TUI is in the lead by 5 points!'' My house is Kea. We haven't won the house shield since I've been at school. It's really frustrating, because I haven't felt the victory yet. But this year I'm determined for us to win. 

I made it in to the Lower Waipa in swimming sport . I've never gone because last year my camp was on the same night and the year before that I was too young so I am really HAPPY.
